High-tech bench 'Vena Lumen' at light festival in London

We are proud of the Fontys Hogeschool students of Vena Lumen that created the high-tech bench with more than 11.000 lights.

Already a favourite during Glow in Eindhoven 2018, the interactive bench will now make sure not to skip a heartbeat from the English visitors at the innovative Winter Lights in London from January 15th till 26th.

The project Vena Lumen has been developed by students from Fontys Hogeschool Engineering in Eindhoven. In the wooden bench they have integrated sensors in the armrest that measure the heartbeat. This heartbeat is transformed into a light show in the bench that visualises how your heartbeat transforms in the heartbeat from your fellow bench mate!

Engineers from ACE product development have guided and advised the Vena Lumen team during the development.
